A five hour stand-off between police and a man occurred following a 'disturbance'.
Officers were called shortly after 5am on Saturday morning following reports a woman in her 20s had been assaulted.
The reported incident is alleged to have taken place in Parham Road, Gosport.
She was found by officers with minor injuries to her face and legs.

Later that day, officers received a separate report at 3.20pm regarding at a disturbance on the same road.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Police attended the property and entered into negotiations with a man who refused to leave the house.
“Shortly before 9pm a 32-year-old man from Gosport was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm.
“He remains in police custody at the current time.”
