Residents of Lyndhurst will be able to enjoy the village's first-ever light trail ahead of Christmas.
The trail, organised by Friends of Lyndhurst Surgery (FOLS), will take place from December 6 to December 15.
Around 50 businesses and residents are set to participate, lighting up their properties.
The event, aimed at raising funds for Lyndhurst Surgery, will see a winner announced at its conclusion. The group has been working towards a goal of raising £150,000 for the surgery by the end of the year.
Families looking to participate in the light trail can purchase maps from the Co-op on Lyndhurst High Street for £2.
These maps, available from December 1, will detail the locations of each participating property.
All proceeds from the event will go towards Lyndhurst Surgery.
FOLS chairman, David Wilson said: "December is a great time of year to get involved in a light trail - we are all already thinking of how to decorate for Christmas and this event can help many to kick-start this process.
"Whilst this is a light-hearted event there is an incredibly important purpose, all funds raised from the event will support the local surgery. At a time of economic uncertainty and limited budgets, we as a community must come together to ensure that vital resources like healthcare can provide adequately for all who need them.
"The money raised has been used to provide equipment and services within the surgery, as well as a contribution towards some refurbishment costs, allowing for a more modern entrance to the surgery.
"This is a great event for families and will be popular with children of all ages, who we are sure will enjoy seeing the different entrants. We are very much hoping this will become an annual event, growing bigger each year."
