A cannabis farm containing approximately 170 plants has been shut down after a police raid.
Police conducted a warrant on a suspected farm of the Class B drug which was situated at an address in Bitterne Park.
Police arrested a man who tried to escape out of the back of the property as police arrived to the house.
The glass window of a door was smashed in the process.
Officers then entered the address and located approximately 170 cannabis plants, also finding pre-packaged cannabis.

Police worked with the Priority Crime Team and the Neighbourhood Enforcement Team to undertake the search.
Following the raid, all 170 plants were destroyed.
In an unrelated incident, police also seized cash and jars of cannabis at a home in Totton last week.
Officers raided a home on Salisbury Road just before 7am on November 4.
An 18-year-old man from Totton was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled Class B drug.
