Families bereaved by road traffic collisions are set to gather for a memorial service in Hampshire this weekend.
The special commemorative services, organised by the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary and Thames Valley Police, aim to support the families and friends of those who have lost their lives on the roads across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, and Thames Valley.
Both dedicated services, in Winchester and Thame, Oxfordshire, will take place on Sunday, November 17, at 2.30pm.
The Winchester service will be held at Christ Church on Christchurch Road, and will be led by Reverend Dom Jones.
Chief inspector Emma Hart, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: "The death of a loved one in such tragic circumstances always has a significant and life-long impact on those left behind.
"These services are an opportunity for the family, friends and colleagues of those who have lost their lives, to come together and remember them."
Revd Dom Jones said: "These services are such an important annual event for the force and the community. They serve as a timely reminder of the dangers of our roads but first and foremost, they are an opportunity for our families to come together to spend some time with others who have experienced losing a loved one on the roads."
