Firefighters from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service have saved a swan who was caught in brambles near the M27.
In one of the fire service's more unusual call-outs, firefighters were called to save a young swan on Sunday as the cygnet got itself stuck in some shrubs near the motorway.
The crews attending were able to rescue the distressed bird and release it at a safe location.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "One of the HIWFRS Animal Rescue officers was alerted to a young swan caught in brambles off of the M27 eastbound on Sunday afternoon.
"The officer attended the scene, between junctions 2 and 3 near Nursling, to assist Highways colleagues.
"Once the bird was recovered from the embankment it was carefully passed by the HIWFRS officer over to the Highways team who would release it in a safe location.
"The cygnet wasn’t physically trapped, just a few ruffled feathers."
