A person fraudulently used stolen bank cards to spend over £1,000 at various supermarkets and petrol stations in Eastleigh, police say.
A Michael Kors handbag containing bank cards and a mobile phone was allegedly stolen at the Concorde Club on Stoneham Lane between 9pm and 11pm on October 6.
On October 7, transactions began to pop up from the card both in person and online, and money spent totalled the value of more than £1,000.

Police have now released CCTV images in connection with the reported theft.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We believe the man and woman in these images can help us with our investigation and would urge them, or anyone who knows their identity, to get in touch with us.
“Also, if you witnessed the original theft or subsequent use of the cards, saw anything else suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
