The Point, Eastleigh and The House of Many Moons have been shortlisted for a national award for their work in creating a magical storyworld.
Timothy the Yeti, which was a free, drop-in experience for families, is in the running for the Best Family Arts Activity category in the Fantastic for Families Awards.
The Family Arts Campaign organises the awards, which celebrate the creativity and impact made by cultural opportunities in the UK.
Timothy the Yeti, which was a winter storyworld for young children and their grown-ups, offered families the chance to experience an immersive and interactive environment.
This included the opportunity to cuddle up in Timothy’s cave as he reminisced about days gone by.
Artistic director, Charlotte Hall, The Point, Eastleigh, said: "It was wonderful to share this special event with our audiences and to see the incredible responses it provoked. This project cements our commitment to providing accessible creative opportunities to our community and inspiring our youngest audiences. We are delighted to be recognised alongside such a wealth of mazing activity."
Anna Dever, executive director, Family Arts Campaign, said: "We are delighted to present the 2024 Fantastic for Families awards shortlist with a truly incredible range of activities and initiatives to improve access to creative and cultural experiences.
"This year’s nominees celebrate the delight and connectivity that can be found through creative participation, and recognise the dedication of those working in the arts sector to bring safe spaces and joyful experiences to those who need it most."
The awards programme is open to UK-based cultural organisations that provide creative opportunities for families and older people.
The Audience and Innovation strand focuses on families in need.
The winners of the Fantastic For Families 2024 Awards will be announced in an online ceremony on November 28.
