A cow has been lassoed by police after freely roaming the streets of Totton.
Hampshire police received reports of a cow on the loose shortly before 11am on Wednesday, November 13.
The wild animal was spotted by New Forest councillor, David Harrison – who called emergency services – after seeing the cow wandering the streets of central Totton, as it journeyed past the health centre.

In a post on the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Roads Policing Facebook page, Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the cow has been located – with officers putting their “cowboy skills to the test” – and returned the animal safely to its field.
A police spokesperson said: “It’s not just vehicles Roads Policing Unit (RPU) officers deal with on our roads.
“Today E Shift officers put their cowboy skills to the test and safely caught an escaped cow that was running around the streets of Totton.
“She is safely back in her field.”
