The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:

DANIEL CONNOLLY, 33, of Bearslane, Totton, admitted to driving on the M27 eastbound near junction 10 for Fareham on March 28 with with Benzoylecgonine – the main metabolite of cocaine – in his blood. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and ordered to pay a fine of £538. He must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a surcharge of £215.

LAUREN BLAIR, 29, of Waltham Road, Bishop’s Waltham, admitted two counts of making phone calls of a menacing character in Southampton on January 29. She was remanded on bail and will next appear in court on January 15, 2025.

JAMIE TOONE, 48, of Lavender Close, Southampton, admitted stealing Lenor products worth £88 from Sainsbury’s in Bitterne, Southampton on April 16. He was remanded on bail and will next appear in court on January 16, 2025.

NEIL MUNKLEY, 42, of Hyde Gate, Winchester admitted stealing five candles worth £114.95 from Boots in Winchester on July 10. He also admitted to stealing one candle worth £30.99 from Boots in Winchester on July 8. He was remanded on bail and will next appear in court on January 3, 2025. 

GEOFFREY POTTICARY, 48, of Kendal Avenue, Southampton, admitted driving on Redbridge Hill, Southampton without insurance and with no licence on August 23. He also admitted drink driving when he had 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, 37 microgrammes above the legal limit, and failing to surrender to custody at court on October 24. For failing to surrender he was fined £50. He was also disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a fine of £230. He must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a surcharge of £92.
