Police were at Miller's Pond in Southampton due to an emergency incident.
Officers were spotted at the Sholing beauty spot earlier today (15 November), prompting concern from locals.
A spokesman for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed they were called out at 11.52am following concern for the welfare of a woman.
The woman was found by officers at the pond, and has been 'left in the care of the ambulance service', the spokesman said.
Police had left by 12.38pm.
