There was travel disruption in Southampton on Friday (November 15), with trains being delayed departing Bournemouth.
South Western Railway trains on route to Southampton were partially delayed throughout Friday afternoon and evening as passengers faced the commute home.
It comes after police responded to an incident affecting the railway at Pokesdown, Bournemouth.
In a statement, a spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Pokesdown railway station at around 4.15pm today (November 15) following reports of concern for welfare.
“Officers attended and a person was taken to a place of safety.”

The disruption to the railways comes as engineering work is set to take place on the line between Winchester and Eastleigh on Saturday, affecting services at Southampton Central, Eastleigh, and Fareham.
On Sunday, the lines between Basingstoke and Southampton Central and also between Eastleigh and Fareham will be closed all day.
Buses will be provided to run between Basingstoke and Southampton Central, via Eastleigh.
