A person being 'struck by a train' led to train lines being blocked for hours.
Lines between the New Forest and Bournemouth were blocked last night (November 16) after reports of a person struck by a train, with the emergency services in attendance.
A spokesperson for Southwestern Railway said around 9pm: "We have received reports that a person has been struck by a train between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst.
"Our response teams are working with the emergency services to assist with the incident.
"In order to allow emergency services access to the railway all power to the track will need to be switched off in the affected area."
Rail replacement buses were also being arranged for passengers to complete their journey.
The disruption lasted until 3.29am today (November 17).
