More than £11,000 seized from a teenager just months before he was brutally murdered has been ordered forfeit by a judge.
Southampton Magistrates’ Court heard around £11,655 was found in a black Audi on April 23 in 2022.
The court was told Dawid Such - who was murdered just months later - was seen “lingering” near the vehicle.
Officers moved in and seized the money. At a court hearing on Monday the money was officially ordered forfeit by a judge.
Prosecuting, Edward Elton said: “Mr Such was a drug dealer.
“On April 23, 2022, there was a group of people lingering around a couple of vehicles in Southampton.
“One of those two vehicles was a black Audi which was recognised by police as being involved in similar activity.”
District Judge Tim Pattinson granted the Hampshire police’s request to forfeit the cash.
Such was 19 when he was murdered outside his home in Langhorn Road in July 2022.

He was on the driveway of his address in Swaythling when he was ambushed at around 12.20pm on July 24.
The teenager was stabbed in the back, leg, abdomen and arm before collapsing in the street.
He was later pronounced dead at hospital after losing a “catastrophic” amount of blood.
Three men were all sentenced to life in prison for murder at Winchester Crown Court in April 2023.
Ken Mulangala, of Warren Avenue, Southampton; Cleohurtz Uchenna Onyeasi, of Ellingham View, Dartford were handed the sentence with a minimum of 23 years, while Donovan Neil Thomas, of Norwood High Street, London, will serve a minimum of 27 years.
Speaking at the sentencing at Winchester Crown Court, Mr Justice Wall said: “Your choice of this particularly fearsome knife is suggestive of an intention to kill.
“And the fact that when Mr Such was already seriously injured, the defendants continued the attack by kicking him.”
The murder trial heard that a number of the defendants were involved in drugs supply for a county line drug network between London and Southampton.
