Pupils from a New Forest school have been given a hands-on construction experience at a New Milton site.
Students from Arnewood School were welcomed by Pennyfarthing Homes to the development site on Compton Road.
This was part of a partnership to provide a practical learning experience for those studying BTEC Construction.
Pennyfarthing Homes’ site manager, Tim Cummings, said: "I was truly impressed by the student's curiosity, they asked some very technical questions about managing a project of this size. It’s a field that is incredibly rewarding, varied and offers so much beyond the typical desk job."
The site, previously home to newspaper offices, is being transformed into affordable housing.
Pennyfarthing Homes was granted planning permission to convert the building into ten apartments and to build 13 more in two new blocks.
The work began in spring and is expected to be completed by autumn 2025.
