A planning application has been submitted to the council to see a former salon in Eastleigh town centre transformed into a community centre.
Located on Leigh Road in Eastleigh, the former building of Daniel Ladies and Gentlemen Hair Stylist is set to be transformed into a new community space for hire.
The application, which was submitted to Eastleigh Borough Council on October 23, would see the building used for book clubs, education services, a place of worship, a children’s play area and a hall to hire for the public.

It also states that the hall has a capacity for around 40 people and peak usage is expected to be on Friday afternoons.
A one bedroom flat is also proposed for the first floor with one car parking space provided for the flat at the front of the building
The applicant for the project is the Eastleigh Masjid and Islamic Centre, which plans to use the centre for much of its operations.
