A campaign has been launched to raise money to help support elderly people in the community.

Age Concern Hampshire has unveiled its new festive campaign, Let's Spread Cheer into the New Year, to help raise funds for 2025 and beyond.

The campaign aims to gather support from the public and corporate partners to ensure the continuation of the charity’s services, which provide essential help to older people and their families.

The funds raised will be used to carry on these services, spreading joy to even more elderly people in the coming year.

The campaign will highlight the charity's impact over the past year, showcasing how its services have helped older people feel supported, valued and connected.

The charity hopes the campaign will demonstrate the importance of its work, especially during the festive period when many older people can feel particularly isolated.

Age Concern Hampshire offers a wide range of services, including dementia support at its Care and Wellbeing Centres, help for those leaving hospital with the Hospital to Home Service and various social groups and community initiatives.

Hannah Park, head of operations at Age Concern Hampshire, said: "Our services are crucial in ensuring older people feel supported and valued throughout the year.

"With the help of public and corporate donations, we can continue to bring joy and comfort into their lives, not only this Christmas but into 2025 as well."

Age Concern Hampshire is urging individuals, businesses and organisations to contribute to the Let's Spread Cheer into the New Year campaign by donating through its JustGiving page.

The charity is also open to local sponsors for the campaign.

Every donation will directly support the charity's services, allowing them to continue providing care, companionship, and support to older people in need.

Founded in 1985, Age Concern Hampshire provides a wide range of services to the elderly community in Hampshire.
