A few motorway closures may impact Southampton drivers this weekend according to National Highways.
These will be along the M3 and M271 during the early hours of the morning.
If you're planning to travel along these roads from Southampton it would be best to take note of different diversions that may be in place.
Here are the closures along the M3 and M271 that will be in place during the weekend of Friday, November 22 to Sunday, November 24.
Hampshire M3 and M271 closures for Friday, November 22
M3
On the M3 southbound there will be an entry slip road closure at Junction 5.
This will occur between 9pm on Friday and 6am on Saturday so that survey work can be carried out.
Additionally, on the M3 eastbound there will be a carriageway closure between Junction 2 and Junction 1.
This will take place between 11pm on Friday and 5.30am on Saturday so that drainage works can take place.
M271
There are no closures scheduled for the M271 on this day.

On the M3 eastbound there will be a carriageway closure between Junction 2 and Junction 1.
This will take place between 10pm on Saturday and 5.30am on Sunday so that drainage works can take place.

Hampshire M3 and M271 closures for Sunday, November 24
M3
On the M3 eastbound there will be a carriageway closure between Junction 2 and Junction 1.
This will take place between 10.30pm on Sunday and 5.30am on Sunday so that drainage works can take place.

M271
On the M271 northbound there will be an entry slip road closure at Junction 1.
This will occur between 9pm on Sunday and 6am on Monday so that maintenance work can be carried out.
