A West End couple have told of their disgust after finding packets of Morrison Belgian buns ‘riddled with flies’ at a Totton petrol station.
Braden Maunder, 26, stopped at the Morrisons petrol station on Spruce Drive on the evening of Friday, November 15, to pick up some snacks ahead of the Jake Paul Vs Mike Tyson fight that evening.
With both fighters set to walk out at around 1am on Saturday morning, Braden and his partner Savannah Padfield sat back and tucked into their Belgian buns.
Around four hours later, both took a turn and said they experience stomach pains and dizziness and Braden was forced to call an ambulance after Savannah’s diabetes began to flare up.
They went back this week and by chance were shocked to find flies on the Belgian buns on sale - and recorded this on video.

Braden said: “We were really confused as to what had caused us to feel ill – we had only eaten what we would usually – apart from the Belgian buns.
“I didn’t think much of it but happened to go back into the petrol station on Tuesday and it quickly became very clear what had happened.
“I found all the Belgian bun boxes absolutely riddled with flies inside the packaging.
“We could not believe it because these were on a shelf ready for the next person to pick up and eat – absolutely disgusting.”

The couple have since said that they will not be going back to the petrol station in future.
Morrisons has said it will be conducting a full investigation and Motor Fuel Group has apologised on behalf of the garage.
A spokesperson for Morrisons said: “We take this matter very seriously, and will be investigating further with the store.”
Motor Fuel Group oversee Morrisons’ petrol stations and a spokesperson for the group added: “We regret to hear about the concerns raised regarding the Morrisons Totton station.
“Please rest assured that we are actively investigating this matter.
“We have already communicated with the store, and the product in question has been removed from sale.”
