Three hubs with public phones, Wi-Fi and defibrillators could be installed in Eastleigh town centre.
The hubs would allow users to make free calls, access complimentary Wi-Fi, and navigate local websites directly.
They would also feature a publicly available defibrillator and USB and wireless charging options for devices.
JCDecaux has applied to Eastleigh Borough Council to install the three communication hubs in High Street, Leigh Road and the Swan Centre car park.
The Community Heartbeat Trust will also deliver local training to ensure that residents can swiftly and effectively use the defibrillator in case of an emergency.
The application has already attracted more than 70 comments on the council’s website.

From Unit 2 of the Swan Centre, Rich Moody said that installing defibrillators and the additional benefits for the public “can only be supported”.
He added that the additional advertising potential for Eastleigh Business Improvement District members would be “a great benefit”.
The public consultation will end on December 12.
