More than 100 dancers and musicians from English National Ballet will bring a magical Christmas tale to life as a brand new production for 2024 premieres at Mayflower Theatre this week.

Join Clara on a fantastical adventure where anything is possible in The Nutcracker, which runs from Thursday (November 28) to Saturday (November 30).

It’s Christmas Eve in Edwardian London. Clara and her mother are shopping at Drosselmeyer’s Sweets & Delights Emporium where she meets an enchanted Nutcracker doll. They take home liquorice all-sorts, nougat, marzipan and of course, sugarplums, to delight their party guests.

The ballet’s plot is an adaptation of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s 1816 short story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. It has become a beloved Christmas tradition around the world.
