South Western Railway (SWR) has opened applications for its Customer and Communities Improvement Fund (CCIF).
The funding programme supports projects benefiting communities or addressing social needs across its network, including areas in Berkshire, Devon, and Greater London.
Peter Williams, South Western Railway’s customer and commercial director, said: "We’re pleased to announce that applications are now open for the latest round of our highly successful Customer and Communities Improvement Fund.
"Supporting the many local communities we serve is a priority for South Western Railway, and we look forward to receiving applications for projects that can bring them real benefit."
Applications are accepted until December 31, 2024, and are judged based on community need, deliverability, and alignment with SWR’s charitable policy.
This year, £400,000 was distributed to 15 projects, including an outreach worker for vulnerable young people in Southampton.
