Hampshire police has ended an investigation after schoolgirl raised the alarm saying she feared she was being followed by three men in a white van.
Foxhills Junior School in Colbury, in the New Forest, contacted police on Tuesday. The headteacher of the junior school notified parents and carers of the incident in an email, allowing them to change school collection plans should they wish to.
However, Hampshire Constabulary has now confirmed that although they did receive reports of a suspicious incident, their enquiries have now concluded with no further action being taken against the white van or its occupants.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “I can confirm we did receive a report of a suspicious incident.
“Following further enquiries, however, the vehicle and its occupants were subsequently identified and no further concerns raised, or offences confirmed.
“There is no ongoing investigation, and our enquiries have now concluded in relation to this report.”
A school statement earlier said: "The child is safe, her family are aware, and we have not received any further reports, concerns or worries from other children, many of whom have also walked to school unattended.
“We wanted to share this information with you so you are informed and to enable you to make alternative arrangements for collection if your child is due to walk home alone this afternoon, should you choose."
