A football fan has denied throwing a flare during a fixture at St Mary's Stadium earlier this year.
Leigh Rhodes is accused of hurling a missile when Saints played West Bromwich Albion on May 17.
The incident is alleged to have taken place during a pitch invasion at the end of the game.
Rhodes, 51, of Shelley Gardens in Bournemouth, made at brief appearance at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
He denied the allegation and now faces a trial at the same court on July 25, 2025.
Rhodes was remanded on unconditional bail until the day of the trial, which is expected to last up to three hours.
