A school has been forced to close this morning after being left with no gas or electricity.
Kanes Hill Primary School made the announcement this morning following heavy downpours.
A spokesperson said they cannot maintain a “safe site” in the current conditions.
Posting on social media, they said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances we have been forced to close the school this morning as we have no gas or electricity.
“We cannot maintain a safe site and we will update you as soon as we have further information.”

Several roads in Southampton have been deluged with water this morning, causing traffic chaos across the city.
A night and morning of persistent heavy rain has also caused disruption to train services and closed busy roads.
A ‘danger to life’ flood warning for Chandler’s Ford to Swaythling has been issued by the Environment Agency.
The most critical warning is in force after 30mm of rain was recorded in Portswood.
