Cruise line Cunard has partnered with the Talk Art podcast to showcase the largest art collection at sea.
The Queen Anne, a 3,000-guest ship that embarked on its maiden voyage in May, features a curated collection with more than 4,300 contemporary pieces from over 300 artists and designers.
The new collaboration with podcasters Russell Tovey and Robert Diament introduces an immersive, self-guided art tour, launched this month.
The podcast-style tour highlights more than 40 individual pieces of art across the ship.
Russell and Robert, known for making the world of art more accessible, will guide passengers through the tour, providing introductions to each piece of art.
They will offer insights into the inspiration behind the artists' work, along with exclusive interviews and their own interpretations.
Notable pieces on the tour include Michael James O'Brien's portrait of Gilbert and George in the Golden Lion and Susumu Kamijo's Poodles series in Aji Wa.
The Queen Anne's art collection is a blend of work from emerging talents and established artists.
Each piece is inspired by Cunard’s journey to the present day.
One standout piece is an exclusively commissioned photographic work by London-based conceptual still life photographer Aaron Tilley.
Inspired by Cunard’s golden era of transatlantic travel, the piece features vintage Cunard artefacts and will be displayed in the Princess Grill suites.
Katie McAlister, president of Cunard, said: "Our world-famous Queens are celebrated globally for their modern luxury, reflected in their elegant design and art collections. We’re also passionate about making contemporary art more accessible. That’s why we’re delighted to partner with the remarkable Talk Art team to support emerging artists, reach new audiences, and continue offering our guests unique experiences."
Talk Art podcast host Russell Tovey said: "Talk Art are proud to be partnering with Cunard on this exclusive audio tour to celebrate their incredible commitment to contemporary art. This is the largest collection of commissioned art at sea; and at over 4,300 artworks, is such an impressive and inspiring group of artists."
The Talk Art podcast, hosted by actor Russell Tovey and gallerist Robert Diament, boasts over six million downloads in more than 170 countries.
The duo brings unique perspectives to discussions about art's forms, styles, movements, and cultural significance.
