Gosport will kick off its festive season with a Christmas lights switch-on.
On Saturday, November 30, from 10am, the high street will become a hub of free entertainment, children's rides, activities, and over 60 market stalls offering festive treats and unique gifts.
Live music and performers will entertain the crowd, with Mark Collins from Greatest Hits Radio hosting from 3pm to 7pm.
The Christmas lights are set to be switched on at around 5.45pm.
Every Saturday in December before Christmas, there will be free Christmas-themed children's entertainment in Lawrence Square.
On December 7, 14, and 21, children can enjoy free go-karting and activities from the Craft Bus from Reilly Enterprise, from 10am to 3pm, and Twinkles face painting in Gosport Museum from 11am to 3pm.
Each Saturday will have its own unique line-up of activities.
On December 7, there will be street entertainment from Betty Twinkle Robin and Angie's Festive Funky Hoop show.
On December 14, families can meet the friendly Christmas Nutcracker, watch dinosaurs prowl, and enjoy carols from Gosport Waterfront Baptist Church Choir.
On December 21, the popular giant snow globe returns for Christmas photos, with entertainment including the gentle polar bear and snow queen, as well as more Christmas carols.
Leader councillor Peter Chegwyn said: "Our Christmas market and lights switch on really is the start of a whole month of festive fun in the High Street. I hope people turn out in force to support our local businesses which have lots of great present ideas.
"Our popular Saturday entertainment returns in December with some favourites, as well as lots of Christmas fun to get Gosport families in the festive spirit."
All these Christmas events are organised by Gosport Borough Council, with Anchored in Gosport hosting the market and lights event on November 30.
The public can look forward to a festive season filled with free entertainment and activities for the whole family.
