A major road just outside Southampton is going to be closed for the third time in five months due to a fresh round of roadworks.
Allington Lane was shut for more than six weeks in September and October while Hampshire County Council carried out roadworks.
Then, at the end of this month, the road has been subject to Southern Water works which closed it for a week.

Now Allington Lane is set to see more works, again carried out by Southern Water, between January 22, 2025 and February 7, 2025.
A diversion route will be set up that takes drivers through West End and onto Fair Oak Road, where drivers will then be directed through Horton Heath on the B3354.
For the latest bout of works in January, a larger diversion has been set up as Moorgreen Road in West End is also earmarked for works between January 22 to 28.
