A marina operator has announced a multi-million-pound investment in improving facilities.
MDL Marinas, which operates several marinas across the UK, has announced a £13.6 million investment in the current 2024/25 season, including a further £4.1 million by the end of March 2025.
Key projects include Ocean Village Marina, which has seen a complete replacement of all pontoons along the south side of the marina, incorporating smart electric meters, giving berth holders full control over their electricity usage.
Hamble Point Marina has also seen a refurbishment of the toilets and showers, resurfacing of access roads and the addition of new waste storage facilities, improving comfort, safety and environmental standards.
The investment is part of a £40 million plan over the next five years. The money will be spent on improving infrastructure, sustainability, and customer experience.
