A major route into the city centre is set to be hit with road works just before Christmas.

Allington Lane will be closed again for more roadworks
Between Monday, December 9, and Friday, December 14, the road will be down to just one lane while Southampton City Council highway teams do road works.
Those looking to do Christmas shopping at Westquay are likely to face delays as a result if they use this route.
A small part of Maybray King Way is also going to be affected by the works.
