A new park in the city centre of Southampton that was named by readers of the Daily Echo is nearing completion and will soon be ready to open
The park will be Southampton's first green space in the city centre for 60 years and forms part of the Albion Place bus hub redevelopment.
Since January 2024, work has been underway to transform the car park in Castle Way and Albion Place.

The bus hub opened on Monday, November 4, for buses and passengers – with the neighbouring gardens set to be officially unveiled before the end of the year.
Named Arundel Gardens, after a poll in the Echo with more than 3,000 respondents, the name is a tribute to the Arundel Tower, first known as Corner Tower.
It dates back to the 13th century and is the north-west corner tower of the medieval town walls.
