Southampton has launched its own Snow Windows Trail for the festive season.

The free walking trail will run until December 31 and is organised by the city’s business improvement district (BID) team, GO! Southampton, and sponsored by Brackenwood Windows.

The trail features around 20 venues with showcase windows adorned with snow scenes and Christmas characters. The windows have been designed by Snow Windows.

Once the map is complete, it can be exchanged at HMV and MAST Mayflower Studios.

The trail maps have been distributed around key venues in the city and in book bags across Southampton primary schools.

Southampton said: "These windows are truly remarkable and are perfect for getting Southampton’s shoppers into the festive sprit.

"Not only is it hoped that these activities can help spread a bit of Christmas cheer, it also ensures that people keep coming into the city in the run up to December 25th to support local businesses. There’s plenty on offer to keep the kids entertained – and it’s free!"

Keri Ackling, director of Snow Windows said: "We hope our bespoke designs help get everyone into the festive spirit this year – and make sure you keep your eyes peeled for those clues that could win you a prize!"
