A woman feared for her life when she was raped by a stranger she met in a nightclub, a court heard.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told jurors she was "helpless” and “scared” after being pulled into bushes in East Park, Southampton, in the early hours of the morning.
Ozbeg Teymuroglu, 23, is accused of raping the woman at around 4.30am in June.
In a recorded police interview shown to Southampton Crown Court, the woman told officers the assault hurt her “badly”.

"I said stop and he would not stop, and I told him to get off”, she said.
She said Teymuroglu had “pulled her closer” after leading her to the park, and then pulled down her jeans and underwear.
The woman said: “He forced my underwear down and came round behind me.
“I felt scared and did not know what had happened. I was worried and fearful for my life.
“I was fearful in case he did anything further to me. I just wanted to get away from him.
“I did not know what to do and I felt helpless.”
Appearing in court via a videolink, the woman was asked questions by Helen Easterbrook, who represents Teymuroglu.
Both the woman and the court were shown CCTV from a nightclub on the night.
Ms Easterbrook said: “Initially you were seen dancing... then we see somebody hold their hands out to you, and you take the hands and danced with the man.
“We say that is the defendant who you left the club with later that night.”
The woman said she could not remember engaging with the Teymuroglu in that moment, and added: “I have had a blocker in my head since June.”
Teymuroglu, of no fixed address, denies rape and told police the sex was consensual.
Opening the case on Monday, prosecutor Christopher Wing previously said the defendant led the woman to East Park then pulled her into the bushes.
The trial continues.
