MANINDER Pal Singh Kohli’s has told jurors how he was forced to have sex with a girl after being kidnapped and blindfolded by his abductors.
Giving evidence in his own defence, Kohli said his abductors told him they were going to “teach him a lesson he would never forget”.
Recalling what was happening in a car he had allegedly been forced into, Kohli told the court: “I was thinking maybe they are going to kill me tonight.
“I was blindfolded, I had no idea where I was. I was sitting down, I was scared and frightened.”
Kohli continued: “The car stopped, they asked me to come out. I could feel it wasn’t a road, not a hard surface like a road.”
Kohli said how one person had his arm on his and told him to mind his step because he was now entering a van.
He then heard a different male voice who said he knew he had been having a sexual relationship with his cousin’s wife, taking his money and blackmailing them.
Kohli said the man then said to him: “We will teach you a lesson you will never forget in your life.” Kohli continued: “He tell him they wanted me to have sex with a girl.”
Kohli said: “Then I go ‘don’t do it to me, I am a married man with two kids’. Then someone punched me on my face. I could feel something metal like, a can or keys. Then I heard a girl’s voice. She said ‘he has got a nose bleed’ I felt like a runny nose, because my hand was tied I couldn’t do anything.
“I felt someone press my nose with a cloth and wipe it. I can feel someone open my trousers and pull down.”
He then went on to describe how he was forced into having sex while blindfolded and with his hands tied.
Asked what he knew of the girl Kohli said: “I was tied, blindfolded. At that time I don’t know who she is or not. I didn’t know at the time, because of everything and the DNA it must have been the girl (Hannah Foster).”
Kohli, 41, denies the abduction, false imprisonment, rape and murder of Hannah Foster.
