THE man accused of murdering Hannah Foster weaved a web of lies and deceit, a court heard.
Under cross-examination at Winchester Crown Court Maninder Pal Singh Kohli was accused of creating an absurd story in the five and a half years between Hannah's death and the trial.
Prosecutor Nicholas Haggan QC said: "Calm, smug and couldn't give a monkey's. That's you isn't it Mr Kohli? Wherever you go you weave a web of lies and deceit, don't you?"
Kohli denied the accusation.
"You have ended up with an absurd story," said Mr Haggan QC.
Kohli denies the abduction, false imprisonment, rape and murder of 17-year-old Hannah.
