Hannah Foster's terrified voice was heard during the trial.
The jury listened intently to a recording of a desperate 999 call she made moments before she died.
The 50-second enhanced recording, made when the teenager secretly dialled the emergency services, was re-played several times.
Hannah made the call in the hope that the operator would be able to understand she had been abducted yards from the safety of her home by Maninder Pal Singh Kohli.
It was obvious she was in a moving vehicle as the heavily accented voice of Kohli asked: ''You belong this country?'' and Hannah replied: ''Yeah I'm English.''
Kohli then made his perverted intentions very clear as he drove his work van and told Hannah to hold her head down as he drove out of Southampton.
But as Hannah saw Grosvenor Road where she lived hurtle past, probably the most distressing dialogue was heard when the teenager said: ''That's my, my road ... that was where I live.''
She also told Kohli her name was Sarah, which is her younger sister's name.
Because Hannah did not speak directly into the phone, the call was eventually disconnected.
When the recording was played in court, all the Foster family left the public gallery, unable to bear hearing her last moments.
Hannah made the call at 11pm on March 14, 2003.
It was the last her parents Hilary and Trevor were to hear of their daughter when police had the terrible duty of playing the recording to them.
Her parents recognised their daughter and both told officers how frightened her voice seemed.
Mrs Foster said: ''Prior to actually listening to the recording I felt a rising panic.
''At the first listening, I heard the word Sarah quite clearly.
''Since I have not heard Hannah that scared, I could not be sure it was her.
''The second time I believe it was Hannah, her trying to control her panic, particularly because of the way she said Sarah. I think it was Hannah.''
Mr Foster said: ''Although there was a tremor in her voice, the controlled intonation was Hannah. There was no doubt in my mind that the voice I heard in the recording was my daughter, Hannah.''
The transcript: Kohli: You belong this country?
Hannah Foster: Yeah.
Kohli: England.
Hannah: Yeah I'm English.
Yeah.
My name.
Kohli: Huh.
Hannah: My name is Sarah.
Kohli: Sarah.
Hannah: Yeah.
Hannah: 15.
Kohli: 15.
Hannah: Yeah.
Kohli: What, 15?
Hannah: 15.
There is then some unclear speech which could have been Kohli: I took this house.
Hannah: That's my, my road... that was where I live.
Kohli: Live there.
Hannah: Yes.
Kohli can then be heard speaking but too quietly to be heard properly.
Hannah: Yeah.
Kohli: There.
Unidentifiable speech sound.
Kohli: Held (unclear) your head down please.
Hannah: Sorry... no.
Kohli: Where you live? Which number you live?
Hannah: Huh... listen... anything...
During the call the operator is also asking which service Hannah wants and then the line goes to an automated message from the operator as Hannah is not directly speaking into the phone. The call is then disconnected.
