A MAN has been charged after an armed robbery at a small Hampshire village bank yesterday.
Kimble James Wilson was today due to appear before Southampton Magistrates Court, accused of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
As reported, a robber burst into the NatWest sub-branch in Hamble village centre at around 11.45am on Monday.
He demanded cash, threatening one of the two female clerks with a knife.
The raider fled with a quantity of money, but police swooped on the village and deployed the force spotter plane, and a man was arrested just half an hour later, near Hamble marina.
Wilson, 55, of Satchell Lane, Hamble, was charged with the offences by police overnight.
