EXCITED youngsters will have the chance to meet Father Christmas when he arrives at a Southampton shopping centre complete with horses, elves and huskies.

Pulled on his sleigh by white horses and accompanied by his elf helpers Santa will be stopping at The Mall Marlands to find out what well-behaved children in the city want for Christmas.

All the youngsters who come and visit him this Saturday and Sunday will receive a special gift.

Visitors will be asked for a donation of £3 which will be donated to CLIC Sargent who care for children with cancer.

And the magic moment will be captured by Daily Echo photographers who will be on hand throughout the weekend.

The children’s pictures will then be featured in a special supplement on Thursday, December 11. New shops at The Mall Marlands include Orange, Mostyns, Siamese Spa, Rock Mania, CEX, Domo and Buy the Book along with new food outlets the Pasta Bar and The Shed, offering home- cooked food.

Youngsters can visit Santa on Saturday from 1pm until 4.30pm and Sunday between 11am and 4pm.
