The southbound carriageway of the M271 was shut shortly after 2.30pm following the incident which saw the lorry end up on its side in the central lane.

Fire crews also attended to help clear diesel and oil from the road.
The northbound carriageway has been affected by the closure and is currently heavy with traffic.
