A CHARITY could suffer after a giant banner advertising a pub pantomime fundraiser was stolen.
The annual event at the Bent Brief pub in Lodge Road, Southampton, raises about £2,000 for the Hampshire Autistic Society. However, an intricate banner put up on the side of the building by the Forty Pound Theatre Company was ripped down.
Bent Brief landlord Andy Wade said that it was vital to promote the show.
“It could end up costing the charity money because less people will see it advertised,” he said.
Pantomine organisers are now appealing for the return of the banner.
Their pantomime, Every Man in His Humour, runs from December 9 to 13. Tickets cost £5.
