A FIRE investigation is underway today after a blaze ripped through a bed and breakfast hotel near Southampton.
The fire severely damaged an unoccupied bungalow building at Primrose Cottage Bed And Breakfast in West End Eighteen fire fighters were called to tackle the blaze in Allington Lane shortly after 10pm.
No-one was injured.
Bed and breakfast owner Janet Stovell said: “Fortunately no-one was in there.
“We have got bookings. But obviously this has rendered the business unworkable at this time.
“With the present situation with not too much work it’s the very last thing everyone could do with.
“I’m sure we will get it all sorted and hopefully be open gain soon.”
The three-bedroomed bungalow has been cordoned off and fire investigators are expected to visit the scene today.
