TWO men are being held by police following a blaze which ripped through a bed and breakfast hotel near Southampton.
The fire severely damaged an unoccupied bungalow building at Primrose Cottage in Allington Lane, West End.
Eighteen fire fighters tackled the blaze in Allington Lane shortly after 10pm.
No-one was injured.
Today a police spokesperson said that two men, aged 33 and 25, from the Hedge End area, had been arrested and were currently being questioned at Eastleigh Police Station.
The three-bedroomed bungalow has been cordoned off and investigators from the joint fire brigade and police arson taskforce were still examining the scene today.
Police are still appealing for witnesses who have seen any movements to and from the property during the evening.
Bed and breakfast owner Janet Stovell said: "Fortunately no-one was in there.
"We have got bookings. But obviously this has rendered the business unworkable at this time.
"With the present situation with not too much work it's the very last thing everyone could do with.
"I'm sure we will get it all sorted and hopefully be open gain soon."
