A man was threatened at with a knife and beaten up twice on the way home from the pub in Hampshire last night.
The 23-year-old victim was walking home when he was approached by a man at around 11.15pm.
The stranger followed him home from the Railway pub in Station Road, Alton, where he assaulted him.
The victim was then forced to go to Kings Pond where the assault continued.
He then made off on foot. The attacker threatened to harm the victim with a knife but no weapon was seen.
The suspect is described as white, early 20s, 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall, medium to muscular build, dark hair, possibly wearing jogging bottoms and speaking with a Welsh accent.
