YOUNG people aged between eight and 18 who have to care for ill or disabled loved ones have produced a short film representing their lives.
Southampton Young Carers Project was able to get together and discuss their lives to come up with ideas for their film.
Five youth groups from across the city have been putting together short videos about the work their group do as part of Project Honour β Cultural Fusion.
The combined initiative was run by Saucepans, part of the child and adolescent mental health services in conjunction with Southampton City Primary Care Trust and Southampton City Council.
Nicola Rist, project worker at the Young Carers Project, said: βThe film gave the group the opportunity to talk about what life is like for them at school and at home and from that develop a theme for the film.β
