YOUNG musicians at one Hampshire school have started the new year by strumming the right notes and impressing a national orchestra.
Pupils from Sherborne House School, in Chandler’s Ford, enjoyed playing the ukulele so much that they sent the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain a card to say thanks.
To their delight and surprise, the orchestra sent a gift to each of the children, aged eight and nine, a copy of their single Miss Dynamitee.
Now the passionate ukulele youngsters are busy practising and working hard, getting ready for their own performance at the Southampton Festival later this term.
