A TEENAGER is today fighting for his life after being hit by a car.
The 16-year-old boy, who is from Lyndhurst, was on foot when he was involved in the collision with a Honda Civic yesterday at 6.22pm.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries to his head, chest and pelvis and is currently in a critical condition at Southampton General Hospital.
The accident happened as the boy tried to cross the A35 by Lyndhurst fire station.
The driver of the Honda car, a 66-year-old man from Totton, did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.
Sergeant Chris Stone said: "This incident took place on a busy stretch of road during early evening and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened to come forward."
