RESIDENTS are being invited to view proposals for two Vodafone masts in Winchester.
The company applied to build in Weeke and Abbotts Barton last September, but withdrew the plans after concerns were expressed.
Vodaphone now wants to try again, but campaigners say the firm has not altered its plans enough.
If approved, one of the masts would be built at the corner of Worthy Lane and Stoke Road.
The other would be at the junction of Stockbridge Road and Burnett Close. Lydia Revett, who lives in Parkside Gardens near the Weeke site, is critical. She said: “If they have not changed their plans all that much, then it would be almost certain that the council will refuse it the second time around.”
Company spokesman, Rob Matthews, said they had spoken to the council and tried to move the masts by a few yards to make them less obvious.
He added that they wanted to consult residents about both schemes before putting in fresh applications.
