37-year-old male bank worker from the New Forest. Married with one child.

SUBJECT: Client A’s wife, 34.

BACKGROUND: When Client A’s wife, 34, returned to work after having their child she became more protective/ about her mobile phone, often sneaking to the bathroom to text and running taps to disguise the sound. Client A checked the phone and found an unknown number. His wife admitted texting a friend, but when Client A phoned the number the “friend” never answered. The number was then disconnected.

MISSION: To find out whether Client A’s wife will cheat on him. Has she a weakness for toyboys?

PHASE 1: A search against the defunct phone number reveals it is registered to a 19-year-old male student, employed as a holiday temp at the same south coast firm as Client A’s wife. Her “friendship” with the student seems to end when the student returns to university but Client A is left feeling mistrustful.

We recommend a “toyboy” honeytrap.

PHASE 2: Client A’s wife goes to the gym three evenings a week. We arrange for our 21-year-old honeytrap agent to attend on the same nights. He uses his apparent unfamiliarity with the gym equipment as an “ice breaker”.

In the first week, our agent exchanges phone numbers and is soon receiving flirty texts from Client A’s wife. She invites him for a drink telling Client A she is seeing an “old friend”.

Over the next three weeks the dating becomes more regular until Client A’s wife tells him she is staying over night one Friday. She books a hotel room, buys champagne and arranges to meet our honeytrap agent at 8pm. We tip off Client A who bursts into the room with another agent to confront his wife.

OUTCOME: The whole event is captured on time/dated covert film. Another job done and another cheater caught.
