Countdown to a new pitch
NEW Countdown presenter Jeff Stelling handed a Hampshire school major funding yesterday to help build a new all-weather football pitch.
Jeff, who is also a Sky Sports presenter and lives in Alresford, handed over a £342,000 grant to Henry Beaufort School in Winchester, on behalf of the Football Foundation.
It means that the Harestock school will be able to push ahead with £630,000 plans to construct a floodlit artificial pitch for both pupils and the local community.
