TWO vans overturned and one set on fire in a collision that closed a Hampshire motorway this morning.

The northbound M3 was shut between junctions four and five after a collision between a Gregg’s Bakery delivery van and a Mercedes Sprinter van at around 7am.

One lane has now been reopened as emergency services work to recover the vehicles.

Both vans ended up on their roofs following the crash and the Mercedes Sprinter set on fire.

The Gregg’s delivery driver was seriously injured while the driver and passenger of the Mercedes were left with minor injuries.

The driver of the Mercedes was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
