Hampshire Formula One legend Murray Walker has given his backing to a fundraising drive for a children’s hospice.
The veteran commentator, who lives near Fordingbridge, was at the New Forest’s exclusive Chewton Glen Hotel to sign a portrait by artist Martin Taylor, in an event organised by the charity fundraisers behind the New Milton pedal car grand prix.
The paintings will raise money for the Julia’s House hospice in Dorset, the charity backed by the grand prix organisers.
This year’s race will take place on July 12 when up to 40 pedal-powered competitors will go wheel-to-wheel over a 1km circuit in the town centre.
Murray is pictured signing copies.
